Emo boys have it rough in this world. They just wish to be themselves and due to our judgmental society, they are often subject to ridicule and labels. Emo means emotional, and this is what Emo boys are: emotional people that want to express themselves through a certain genre of music and fashion style.
You are likely to find Emo boys dressed in a similar fashion. Many fans of Emo favor the tighter jeans and t-shirts. Their tees will probably have their Emo favorite band on the front and be darkly colored. Guyliner has become another way to tell if a boy is into Emo. Some Emo boys will go even farther and put on lipstick, but usually black eyeliner is going to be the only makeup that they wear.
The Emo guy is going to have a very distinct hairstyle. Boys that are really into Emo are going to have dyed black hair worn on the longish side. The bangs have a fringe style to it and worn stick straight. The bangs are going to cover one or both of the boy’s eyes. You may also find one or more piercings on a guy that is Emo. Along with ear piercings, they may choose to get facial piercings as well.
Emo boys take their music very seriously. If you have become Emo, it is very likely due to the influence of a band that you have listened to. My Chemical Romance, Panic at the Disco and Fall Out Boy are just to name a few bands that have been categorized at one time or another as Emo. To decide if a band is Emo, you really need to listen to the lyrics. It should be a punkish style of music with lyrics that reflect a person’s emotions. Emo music does not usually contain any of the hardcore lyrics of heavier metal bands.
Since Emo boys are not afraid of showing their feelings, many haters often call them “faggots” or “homos.” Emo boys take a lot of slack because they are free enough with themselves to express love to all sexes. It is not uncommon for a guy that is Emo to kiss both boys and girls. They wish to show their affection to others by both actions and words without the fear of being judged.
Whether or not you are Emo, you have to respect the boys that are. You’ll find that they are creative and musical people. They’re free with themselves and don’t care what mainstream culture thinks about them. They dress the way that they want to dress and kiss the people that they want to kiss. Emo boys are happy with themselves and don’t care who knows it.
